Shala Taylor, MA, LPC

Shala Taylor is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Shala earned a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Arts in Teaching, both from Lindenwood University. She additionally holds a Master's degree in Business Management. Shala began working in the behavioral health field in 2012 as an adolescent substance abuse counselor.  She then went on to manage a school-based therapy program for several years. Shala has an extensive history in education, training and development. Shala has developed and facilitated several trainings in the mental health and education arena. Shala has certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neuro-sequential Model of Therapy (NMT) and Substance Abuse. Additionally, Shala provides licensure supervision for  individuals seeking to complete requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri.

Shala takes a collaborative approach to therapy by facilitating clients through self-discovery. She challenges your thinking which aids you in managing your emotions and developing healthy behaviors. She enjoys working with couples to help navigate their therapeutic approach based upon the specific needs of the couple. Her holistic approach to counseling addresses all areas of life that may be adversely affecting your daily functioning.

Jamese Walton, MA, PLPC

Jamese is a Provisionally Licensed Therapist with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and Digital Communications from Lindenwood University. She has several years of experience working in the mental health field, most of which has been providing services in a mental hospital, outpatient clinic, and school-based mental health programs. She worked in the field of Substance Abuse and holds the credential of a Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II. She is passionate about breaking the negative stigma of mental health in the church and the black community. She enjoys helping adolescents, adults, and families navigate through the challenges and unexpected hardships of life. Jamese has a desire to help clients with a wide variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, divorce, transitions, single parenting, and family communication.

Jamese has an eclectic approach utilizing various faith-based, creative, and integrative modalities.

Taijuana Wells, MA, PLPC

Taijuana Wells has joined the team as a Provisionally Licensed Therapist (PLPC). Taijuana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Lindenwood University. 

Taijuana has more than 30 years of experience in the medical field which has afforded her the opportunity to work with clients with various health conditions. She has spent several years as a caretaker for her parents which prompted her interest in working with the aging population. She specifically has interest in helping individuals with change of life transitions. Taijuana focuses on mindfulness techniques as a method to reduce anxiety and stress.


Joshua Gilliam, MA

Joshua is a Counselor in Training with a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindenwood University. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Applied Management from Hickey College in 2013. While currently working at Lindenwood University, Joshua has cultivated his passion for helping others through  personal mental health challenges. As an adoptee, Joshua recognized the importance of counseling in the black community. He has always been passionate about working with adolescents, college age students, young adults, and couples. He has always felt that couples are a neglected segment of the population in the black community especially when it comes to couples on their way to marriage. As a member of the Christian faith, Joshua wants to be another resource for Christians to be able to work out their life issues through faith related solutions. 

Joshua currently holds a certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health First Aid. Additionally, he is working toward a certification in Play Therapy.

Brittney Cloudy, MA, PLPC

Brittney Cloudy is a Provisional Licensed Counselor and a Professional Mixed Martial Artist.  She is supervised under Melissa Webb, LPC. Brittney attended Saint Louis University earning her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Soon after graduation, she spent 6 years in the classroom teaching third and first grade. It was during this time that her passion for social-emotional wellness grew. Brittney decided to further her education in the field of counseling. She completed her Masters in Counseling at Missouri Baptist University. Her counseling experience consist of counseling individuals experiencing challenges with anxiety, depression, trauma, transitioning, sexuality, relationship and identity concerns.


Brittney’s heart thrives in response to helping others and facilitating holistic wellness. She is a client-centered therapist who believes in creating a safe space for clients to feel seen and heard. She finds value in working with people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, youth and individuals. Brittney takes a personalized holistic approach to therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Meditation and physical activity to aid in the client’s wellness journey.
